Spring is here!

HERE WE GO!

Or so I thought. I had the electric all connected and got all the wires from computer to kiln connected, those are kiln shelves to the left getting cleaned and a fresh coat of Kiln wash applied.

I had a nice full load of greenware to fire up and my bisque firing went off no problem… or so it seemed….

I turned around and glazed up all the goods and loaded this little baby up but it really struggled to gain heat and reach temp (photo to the left bottom, this is where it started to try really hard to climb 60 degrees an hour) So I shut it down and contacted the manufacturing, and ran a few diagnostic tests including this fun one to the right where you get a visual of the elements that are working.

Unfortunately, the top and bottom elements are NOT working so on to some more problem solving!

In the meantime Ellen at Mudstone Studio was a sweet angel and has helped me to get some student work fired up!
