Late April Days

Kym Gardner

I just finished loading a kiln today, and it's full of a few fun projects!

I've got a set of nesting plates, some planters, a few new mugs, some berry bowls and flower earrings, as well as one of the two pendant light pieces I have in the works for a commission.

I'm getting ready for a market this weekend, and I have been working on building out a stronger market presence this year!

I had a fun time earlier this month setting up and vending at the Waterfire Center in Providence, and seeing so many lovely folks!

Now I'm preparing for an upcoming pop-up at Pivotal Brewing in Bristol, RI.

Also, this week, I installed one of these little bells in my yard and started to brainstorm my herb garden for the year, with a few floral additions to give a try.

This series of bells was created during the weeks after hearing Ollie had passed. We loved to taking walks on the beach and if I was on the hunt for some type of shell he was always game to help me look or offer a pocket or a hand to carry a few more for me. Its nice to have this little reminder of those simple and sweet moments we shared.

These past few months, grief has shown up many times in many ways and I am working on moving with it and giving myself grace. I feel unbelievably lucky for so many incredible people in my life who have brightened my days simply by showing up or checking in.
